The weathher has been lovely, in fact it has just got warmer. The commercial fishermen are telling me that they are regulary seeing big marlin whilst they are catching skipjacks, the skpjacks have moved round the north side of the island. We have all seen lots of feeds with plenty of skipjacks but they seem to have plenty of food so they are not taking the lures, only a couple of boats have had a couple, lets hope it is us tomorrow, but the bottom fishing has been crap. Today was a day off but t...

Well after such a ggood day wednesday it went quiet again, a few skipjacks been had by some boats but no more albacores, the bottom fishing also went quiet averaging 2 - 3 fish per trip, the water temp is up to about 20 - 21 degress, so the marlin wont be far away and there is so much bait fish this year that I haven't seen it like this for many years so I think its going to be a good one. The thursday morning we had a good size tope which we lost at the side of the boat, a 30 lbs round spotted ...
